In the fishing paradise of Rostojávri, we’re comfortably far from civilisation. There, you can listen to the silence, good fishing stories and the splashing of record catches, such as Arctic chars.
Happy Safaris arranges unforgettable fishing trips. The Rostojávri lake is located in the vast vistas of Northern Sweden, on the Norwegian border. You won’t be thinking of the everyday grind there!
We will provide everything as a ready-made package.
It’s fun to spend a day ice-fishing at Pallastunturi. Travel to the fishing spot is by snowmobile or snowcat. From the hole, you can fish trout, whitefish, pike, burbot and perch. The perch, by the way, are no minnows. Sometimes, the only catch is the fresh fell air and grand scenery. Which is no small thing either. From time to time, we’ll go to the shore to get around a wilderness campfire in a tepee. The catch is cooked up for a meal and afterwards we’ll also enjoy some sooty-pot coffee.
The trip to Majavaoja (24 km) is by car from Levi. From Majavaoja to Kivijärvi (11 km), we’ll travel by snowmobile or snowcat. The return trip is the same as the outbound trip.
The ice-fishing is done during the day on the Kivijärvi lake. The participants ice-fish with the instructor’s guidance. Alongside the ice fishing, we’ll go to the shore to gather around a wilderness campfire in a tepee. The fish caught are treated and e.g. cooked as food, and we’ll also have a sooty-pot coffee.
Transportation to Kivijärvi can be arranged either by snowmobile or snowcat. The transportation is arranged according to the wishes of the guest.
